Description:

Flipkart is looking for a UI Engineer II to lead development of consumer-facing websites and web applications. The role involves full ownership of end-to-end software delivery, requiring collaboration with backend developers and product owners to break down UI/UX into actionable tasks. The position demands building scalable, efficient, reusable front-end components and mentoring junior engineers to ensure best coding and design practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build next-generation web applications ensuring efficiency and reusability.
• Design compelling, lively user experiences.
• Ensure performance and scalability of UI systems.
• Participate in design and code reviews to build robust applications and prototypes.
• Mentor junior engineers on design and coding standards.

Key Technical Skills:

React, React Native, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, Browser internals, Network stack basics, Front-end security and deployment, Data structures, Object-oriented programming

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech or equivalent)
• 3-5 years of relevant experience with strong JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 skills
• Experience or knowledge of any front-end framework (React, Angular, Ember)
• Good understanding of browser internals and network fundamentals
• Knowledge of front-end design patterns, security practices, and deployment processes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
